The purpose of this book is to introduce the reader to the central region of Brittany, comprising the majority of the departments of Côtes d'Armor an Morbihan.
To the west of this region lies Finistère, while to the east ar Ille-et-Villaine and Loire Atlantique. Together thes five departments make up the area of Brittany as it has been known through the centuries.
